Veteran Nigerian singer Onyeka
Onwenu on Tuesday September, 29 2015 visited the Internally Displaced Peoples (IDP)
camp Adamawa in order to give them sense of belongingness. She visited the camp
the Director General National Centre for Women Development.
The elegant stallion as Onwenu is
popularly called took time out of her busy schedule to visit the Internally
Displaced People’s (IDPs) camp in Damare, Yola.
According to Naij, she was accompanied by Director Relief and Rehabilitation of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mr Ezeh Udemezue and Country Representative of the UNHCR Ms Angele Dikongue-Atangana to the camp where they presented some relief materials to the IDPs.
Onwenu did not forget her primary
constituency as she without a microphone brought smiles to the faces of the
women in the camp when she sang and danced with them and this will leave and
indelible mark in the memory of the women while in camp.
The team also paid a courtesy
call on the Deputy Governor of Adamawa State Mr Martins Babale
