Nigeria @ 55: Nigerians React

Egnr EmmanuelNwachukwu  -Lagos

Obviously President Muhammadu Buhari in his broadcast this morning had said all hands should be on deck, for positive changes we all desire. More so, starting with the judiciary to enforcement, they need better reforms.
When I talk of the judiciary system, the fight against corruption starts with the system, because a lot of the alleged looters or corrupt persons get court injunctions to be sacred lambs that are untouchable. Then the enforcement agencies eg the police DSS, SSS, EFCC etc all look at personality importance or relevance in the society, before they carry their actions. If one is unknown, the same is paraded without any caution, but if known the case is different.
The whole change we talk about, all hands need to work together to make Nigeria a better place, put aside tribalism, nepotism, religious beliefs n practice and mostly language differences, then we shall be ready for the right positive changes we desire.
The executive arm of government is not left out. They make d laws but still flaunt d laws with d help of d judiciary n enforcement, because of personal interest n greed.
Not too far 4rm us, the case of our Senate president and the CCT, how it took him almost forever to appear n hw d inspector general of police could not even effect a simple arrest, n hw recently, the judge handling d case has step down due to media escalating d whole process as having a negative reaction on the public, because in quote POLITICAL WITCH HUNT. The list goes on and on

Nigeria @ 55!
As an individual & collectively as a nation, I want to say that we are doing well and moving forward in the journey so far.
In the eyes of many, it may seem as if nothing is happening but I tell you, we are flying on Eagles wings. One thing people should accept is that every expert was at some point a learner. There is no magic in progress because it is one step that is taken at a time. You may say so many things are not the way it should be; Yes! I agree vehemently with you but you should also remember that all things work together for our good.
As a person, don't always expect and depend on what Nigeria will do for you, think of what to do for Nigeria and let Nigeria count you worthy to be depended on.
How many of you still throw pure water sachets, nylons and dirt of the windows of your moving vehicles to defile Nigeria? How many of you still destroy public property because u still see yourself as someone that does not own them and disfigure Nigeria in the process? How many of you still indulge in amassing wealth by stealing public fund and bankrupt the economics of our beautiful country Nigeria? How many of you still do shady deals, engage in fraudulent activities in the Diaspora and end up leaving a dent on the precious name of our country Nigeria under the critical watch of other nations of the world. If permitted, my questions will go on and on.... But,  I challenge you today to take a deep breath and reflect; take a deep look at yourself and see if u are innocent of any if not all the questions stated above, begin to ask yourself what you have done for Nigeria; if a little, do more! If nothing, start now!
Let us arise oh' compatriots for Nigeria calls..... let us obey her and serve our father land; with LOVE and STRENGTH and FAITH...
Happy Independence day.

Buhari, should not go the extreme with his policies, it affects international trade drastically
The domiciliary ban, is crippling us more than its advantage
With the new policy of CBN on the ban of Dollars going out, it has been hard to really tell if we are making progress or not, in the area of power however there is an obvious improvement.
In the area of TSA, I'm sure the intent was to manage our account better and calls for better accountability  too

Firstly, I wish to thank God for keeping Nigeria as one indivisible entity. It is true that we are not were we are supposed to be. Listening to our President this morning has renewed my hope that Nigeria will survive. Thank u and God bless Nigeria.

I am a Nigeria, I am happy Nigeria is 55. I really Do not have much to say, rather the Federal Government should improved on the areas that have touched. We need good road network,  to enable us go to our work places, schools, do businesses etc. we need good health care places. Although I must salute the effort of the incumbent administration in the the area of power supply. To somewhat, there has been an improvement on that. But i still think , more effort should be put. It is not constant yet
