Man Docked for Stealing yam, palm oil


A 33 year old man has been docked today before a Lagos state Magistrates’ court, Igbosere for alleged stealing of yam and palm oil worth N5,000
Nasiru Ibrahim, who is unemployed, home address covert  was arraigned on a one-count charge of stealing under section 285(1) of the criminal Laws of Lagos, 2011.
However, he was alleged to have committed the crime on September 3 at 2:00am, at Falomo Police Barracks, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Corporal Cyriacus Osuji, prosecuting police officer alleged that the defendant stole a tuber of yam and 25 litres of palm oil belonging to one Wilson Ogechi.
Continuing, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and was admitted to bail by Magistrate A.T omoyele for N10,000 with two responsible and responsive sureties, who are gainfully employed

The aforementioned magistrate however adjourned the case till September 30 for mention.
