Hon Sam Onuigbo Enjoins Mothers’ to Embrace Responsible Parenting



Hon Chief Sam Onuigbo representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency has embolden the women of his constituency to continue with the spirit of sportsmanship portrayed by them  in ensuring that August meeting (Mothers’ summit) is leveraged as the avenue for collaborative contribution towards dispensing community developmental ideas designed for the uplifting of the people.

Hon Onuigbo however made this call recently during Ekeokwuru Improvement Union (Women’s wing) August meeting at Community Primary School Umule, Umuahia North Local government. In addition, the Honourable in commemoration of August meeting that has come to stay overtime in Igbo land stressed on the need for responsible parenting. He added that mothers are saddled with the responsibility of promulgation of values, which will in turn become inherent part of a child during their formative stage. And that adherence to such values will nurture the child to be uptight about societal values and laws. More so, he however gave the group the sum of N 250,000 in order to mitigate   the stress of relentless efforts to amass money by the women to carry out their task of building a cassava processing unit in their community.
In His words: “ I want to encourage mothers to raise their children with maximum awareness of values, good educational upbringing in order for them to be responsible citizenry’s   with the passion for  achieving results, and to be resourceful to themselves and the society at large”

Intermittently, Hon Onuigbo visited his home town Obuohia, Ikwuano Local Government Area of the state to grace the aforesaid event with Obuohia Obi-Ibere Development Union (Women’s wing). He added overtly that it has become an integral part of him to always witness the annual symposium. More so, without mincing words, that he has been supporting the group both morally and financially consistently since 2000. More so, as a way of showcasing his support and love for the earlier mentioned group, he gave them the sum of N 200,000 to enable the women achieve some of their projects.

In the same development, Hon Onuigbo added that baring hitches, he had to attend the event, and that some other issues would have aberrated his coming, but he had to go outer his way to resolve at a nimble decision to attend. Concluding, that it was borne out of their immerse contribution during the last election. And that he really appreciates them for their undiluted supports, which was a toehold for him, being member of the 8th National assembly.
