Nigeria’s U-23 Eagles have been drawn against
Egypt, Algeria and Mali in Group B of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations billed for
Senegal.
The draw was held on Monday at the CAF
Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Group A will see hosts Senegal take on South
Africa, Zambia and Tunisia.
To qualify for the second edition of the
Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, Nigeria defeated Congo Brazzaville 2-1 on
aggregate.
The Nigerian side are currently taking part
in the All Africa Games where they will take on Burkina-Faso in the semi-final.
The top two teams from each group at the U-23
Cup of Nations will qualify for the semi-final.
The championship is serving as the qualifiers for the men’s football event of
the Rio 2016 Olympics.
