Hon Layi
Oke former member of the Ekiti state house of assembly (EKSHA), has blasted Governor
Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state over his recent criticism of President Muhammadu
Buhari.
Hon Layi Oke’s position was borne
out of incessant criticism of governor Fayose directed towards the All
Progressives Congress members, over President Buhari and his vice, Yemi
Osibanjo lingered, window dressing declaration of assets.
Following Hon Layi’s stance, the
spokesman to Fayose warned the All Progressives Congress to provoke the
governor to the point where he will begin to unearth their hidden assets.
Reacting to those comments emanating
from the governor, Hon Layi Oke could not hide his disappointment at the
actions of the number 1 citizen of the state. Speaking further, Oke who
once represented Ijero constituency in the EKSHA said Fayose has been struggling
with diarrhoea, the type associated with the mouth. He challenged the governor
to define what it means to be is rich.-Naij.com
In His
Words:“Of recent our governor has been having a diarrhoea in the mouth. I think
we should ask the governor the definition of someone being rich.
“To the
best of my knowledge President Buhari is not poor. Fayose is just rambling.
When you consider rich people in the country even some councilors are richer
than Buhari in terms of assets and what they have in the banks.”
The former lawmaker further
expressed his dissatisfaction with how the governor has been running the
affairs of the state wondering why the governor reacts to everything in the
country whether it is reasonable or not instead of facing issues of governance.
He also added that Fayose was one of
the reasons he and some political bigwigs left the PDP for the APC in Ekiti
State.
In His
Words:“Our governor is just somebody that reacts to everything in the country whether
it is reasonable or not reasonable.
“I am not
proud of him as my governor. That is why many of us left the Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress immediately he won the primaries.
“This
because we never wanted to work with him. You can see what is happening now a
days. How many educated or even illiterate ekiti sons and daughters will be
proud of what the governor is doing?
“This is
not the Ekiti we dreamt about. Some of us know that he cannot deliver and
anybody that is supposed to be our governor should be someone that we can be
proud of and many of us are not,” Oke
said.
In a similar development relating to
governance in Ekiti state, the N19.6bn loan facilities sought by Ekiti state
governor, Ayo Fayose, has been approved by the Ekiti state house of assembly,
yesterday, September 9.
The decision by the house to approve the loan was a
unanimous one following two different letters sent to the legislators by the
governor seeking the house approval to go ahead with the process of obtaining
the loan
