Abians and Dr Okezie Ikpeazu

Development is the process of developing or being developed. It is equally an event constituting a new stage in a changing situation.
Developed country according to Wikipedia is a country or region advanced economically and socially. The criterions for evaluating developed countries are: Income per capita; countries with high gross domestic product (GDP), industrialization; countries in which the tertiary and quaternary sector of industry dominate world.
According to economics, underdevelopment is when resources are not used to the full socio-economic potential with the result that local or regional development is slower in most cases than it should be.
Nigeria is a developing state. When you talk about development, it is quite encompassing since it is measured by some aforesaid determinants.  Apparently people often compare their pay roll, standard of living, having access to fleet of cars to being developed or underdeveloped
However, underdevelopment is pernicious, bane in nature where nothing works. Where corruption is the order of the day, lawlessness, where the citizenry are not uptight about the Acts promulgated to run the activities in such state. Overtly putting the aforementioned circumstances into consideration, Abia state’s current situation is not far from it.
Worthy of note, the aforementioned meaning of underdeveloped state has ultimately made Abia state (God’s own state) not exonerated due to slow pace of development in the state over the past 12 years or there about.  All these narrow down to the fact that an average man in the helm of affairs in the state before now, has never envisioned road network as one  of the  traits of developmental activities since its translates to modern democracy, but of self interest.
However Dr Okezie Ikpezu the governor of Abia state who won his Apga counterpart Dr Alex Otti during April 11 and April 25 rerun elections has portrayed intense desire in making Abia a mega city. According to Abians he has broken the jinx of his predecessor who was known for governance with prejudices. It however boles down to the constituency, local government, clan even ward that generated huge votes will have a pinch of the dividend of democracy that would have been dispensed without sentiments.
Dr Okezie Ikpeazu opined that his intend is tilted toward making Abia depicts it slogan that says “God’s own state”. In the quest for rapid economic and industrial development of Abia state, he made a trip on 1 Tuesday September, 2015 to the United States of American and subsequently to Turkey to engage with cross section of people and organization in line with his dream for Abia.
Corroborating this, the governor recently called on Ndigbo to invest their resources and entrepreneurial skill in Igbo land to accelerate the development of South East and South South of Nigeria.
Imperatively, the governor has been lauded by Abians who gave him a nudge based on his 100 days in office assessment. Being that his actions made him aberrated from the usual institutionalized attitudes of politician which are abysmal; where they fabricates all manner of excuses for their inefficiency to salvage the system, and thereby clamouring on inherited debts, crisis eschew by the previous administration as a result of bad governance.
The giant stride the amiable governor made in embarking on ferocious construction of major impassable roads which are characterized by stagnant water, potholes and debris in Abia is laudable. In addition, developing the state is one thing, the readiness of individuals who have been craving for non lopsided divided of democracy is key, being that it may hamper most of their activities; since barricading roads could ensue tensed traffic congestion.
Concluding, Abians should support Dr Okezie Ikpeazu in making the state exhilarating and safe for stay, and not their mudslinging syndrome portrayed by the usage of uncouth words to run down this administration, based on egoism in disguise
