Hon Sam Charges Corp Members to Patriotic



Hon. Sam Onuigbo member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia  at the House of Representatives has called Abians to continue in their fervent prayers for the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D in his incessant ardious towards making the state an enabling environment for Abians.


Making this call recently,  during the sent-forth ceremony of corp members at the Ambassador's college Obuohia, Obiibere in Ikwuano Local Government Abia state. The event was however witnessed by large turnouts of persons from different walks of life. People within the likes  of Hon Chief Sam Onuigbo member representing Ikwuona/Umuahia Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Former Board Chairman,  Board of Internal Revenue Elder Udo Ogbonna, HRM Eze Larry Ogbonnaya, HRM Eze Dickson Orji, HRM Eze Ifeawanta Samuel, HRM Eze Ambrose and others, as well as  PDP stalwarts in Abia
Hon Sam dissuade the corp members to remain good ambassadors of NYSC scheme. And that, they should not forget the Ambassador's college and the host community obuohia. He added that the scheme is laudable since it centres on inculcating discipline in Nigerian youths, thereby instilling in them a tradition of industry at work.
Hon Onuigbo apparently sressed on the essence of the event, that it serves as a dual purpose since, it is an avenue to receive the incoming as well as sent-forth ceremony for corp members in their quest to serve their fatherland.  And that the event has come to stay in the past 5 years.
Also speaking at the event,  Former Board Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue Elder Udo Ogbonna spoke on his relationship with Hon Sam stressing that it's cordial, and that he is not a narcissist rather a technocrat.  And that he is a man who has the interest of the masses at heart, his personality is such that one can contract business based on fiduciary.
In the same vein Elder Udo appreciated the corp members with card rewards,  for their perseverance.  In that, it takes corp members that are patrotic in nature to stay in a remote village to carryout their primary assignments instead of resorting to redeployment.
Concluding,  Mrs Dorathy Chinyere Nnana principal Ambassador's college added that she had never experience a community where corp members are appreciated and celebrated after their service year. She however tagged it a feast being that it's rare to come by.  And that it takes a community that has value for education to do such.
